Notice anything interesting about this picture?

I was looking at this picture from the other post, and I noticed something surprising.

Can anyone spot it?

She's missing the upper half of her body?

One arm looks shorter than the other one.

Both valid observations, but ...
She's wearing Mickey Mouse socks! So cute.
I just think it's interesting that in such an anti-western, anti-capatalist society there would be an official government policewoman wearing Mickey Mouse socks, especially while on duty.

That's cute. I wonder if the socks were bought on the black market, or is Disney merchandise commonly available in North Korea?

Perhaps they just got their hands (or feet, LOL) on anything they can get...I'm sure there's a shortage of things like socks in NK. Those are a real sorry pair of shoes, when you look at them.

No matter what the shortage I can't imagine Jong allowing one of his countery's authority figures to wear a product of what I am sure he considers a pillar of decandent western society [Disney and/or its mouse].

Besides, when it comes to the DRPK Police and Military there never seems to be any shortages.

The TGs may be allowed to wear their own socks, as long as they're white. In the pic of the eight trafficgirls, you can see several different style socks.
Disney is a ubiquitous brand, especially popular in Asian countries. No one can stop the mouse!

And, some of Disney's animation work has been outsourced to North Korea, believe it or not. Disney has contracted work to a few European countries, who then contracted some animation work to the good ol' DPRK.

It would be funny if the NK animators snuck a frame or two of Kim Jong Il into their work as a subliminal image.

lol - I wouldn't be surprised if they did, by trying to influence the young minds of the next generation.

Socks aside, is there a full version of that photo so that we can see just why one of her arms appears to be shorter than the other? That, to me, seems much more interesting than the socks.

I think it's this traffic woman. Both pics were taken by Eric Lafforgue on April 15 2008, and they seem to match - the sun shadow, the folds and wrinkles in the lower jacket are the same. Her drooping right shoulder makes the arm appear longer.
