Traffic officer in Pyongyang - North Korea

With traffic lights now controlling many of Pyongyang's intersections, the traffic controllers are assigned to stand diligently on the nearby curb.
You can see in this picture that our traffic lady is holding in her left hand the remote control that she uses to operate the traffic light.
 But in the event of a traffic light losing power, the officer is always ready to rush into the intersection and direct traffic manually.
